GGU’s Lake Merced Campus
Sitting on 144 acres of lush greenery, the GGU’s Lake Merced Campus expands the university’s presence into one of San Francisco’s most established academic communities. Located in southwest San Francisco near Lake Merced and Ocean Beach, the campus offers a different setting from downtown while remaining fully connected to the 51ÉçÇø experience. Students will have access to an urban campus in the heart of downtown San Francisco through the Academic Village at UC Law SF, and a traditional campus at Lake Merced in partnership with San Francisco State University. Â Together, the two locations provide a broad range of campus resources, including modern classrooms, libraries, study spaces, dining options, recreational facilities, housing and other student life amenities.
GGU’s Downtown Campus at the Academic Village at UC Law SF is in the Civic Center area of downtown San Francisco. The Academic Village spans two blocks along McAllister Street and Golden Gate Avenue, with entrances at 333 Golden Gate Avenue, 198 McAllister Street, and 200 McAllister Street.
GGU’s Lake Merced Campus is a shared campus at San Francisco State University near the Stonestown Galleria, Lake Merced, and Ocean Beach. The West Campus spans 144 acres. The campus address is 1600 Holloway Avenue.
The relocation is scheduled to take place in August, with classes beginning at the new campus locations in Fall 2026. Detailed timelines for the move will be shared as planning progresses.
