Probability聽and聽statistics聽form聽the聽foundation聽for聽many聽STEM fields聽in聽engineering, management science, technology,聽technology, and聽data聽science. Statistics formalizes data analysis and connects closely with probability models and data collection methods. This course introduces the concept of randomness and uncertainty then applies various conceptual and computational models to solve problems. Graduate students will learn basic concepts involving set probability, conditional probability, and random variables.
